Our History

SETHRA was organized in 1973 under the Human Resource Act of 1973, as amended. We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a goal of working hand-in-hand with state, local, federal and affiliated organizations. Since 1965, we have grown from a small agency providing only a few programs to an agency administering more than thirty programs in the region. SETHRA operates in the following Tennessee Counties: Bledsoe, Bradley, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea, and Sequatchie.
